House Party Appreciation Post Part Deux!!

Now you know how I feel about house parties... I've said it before and I'll say it again... It's all about finding that balance. It's also about knowing what type of party you're going to and dressing for the occasion.
I learned that the hard way on April 28th... I think. My outfit was great for the outside party but had I known that we would be playing wiffleball, I probably would have dressed more comfortably. I probably would have skipped the boots lol! Thank God I had my hoodie because when we went to Coney Island afterward it was FREEZING!!

Beatles shirt- Urban Outfitters
Vest- Material Girl (Macy's)
Studded shorts- Macy's
AI Hoodie- Action Item

Now on June 6th we went to a 21st birthday party so I decided to get a little dressier. I paired my new Jawbreaking sweatshirt with a black, beaded skirt! If you've never heard of Jawbreaking, you're really missing out!! I'm OBSESSED!!

I Sanctuary-ed so hard I twisted my ankle

On May 18th we hit Skate and Surf! Brianna and Corrine surprised me and bought my ticket! That meant that I had about 24hrs to throw an outfit together. I think I did a pretty good job for such short notice. I had been waiting to wear my 90s Kid fringe, crop tank that had just come in the mail so I wore that with a pair of blue high waisted shorts that I had just gotten. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life!! It was raining the entire day but it only added to the experience! They're is seriously nothing like dancing in the rain.I'm glad I had my hat in my bag though... lol. It's always an amazing time when I get to see Paradise Fears! They're such cool guys and amazing musicians and performers. I finally got Sam to write out lyrics for my future tattoo (sorry Mommy). Singing Sanctuary at the top of my lungs, as the sun set, in the rain was definitely the best moment of my life. I Sanctuary-ed so hard I twisted my ankle. I was able to meet other awesome bands like Forever the Sickest Kids and Mayday Parade! And after almost having to cause a scene I was able to fufill a dream and see FALL OUT BOY... I repeat, FALL OUT BOY perform live!! IS THIS REAL LIFE?!?!!? So incredible!

Habenero Peppers!!!

Soooooooooooo we finally, FINALLY had our own Action Item house party!! It was legit one of the best days of my life! I'm so happy that I got to spend it with my best friends!!

So anyway... I knew from the start the look I was going for. I remember finding this Godfather (my favorite movie) muscle tee and I just pictured wearing it over a maxi dress with a flower crown... real boho right?? Well then the look kinda evolved. I swapped the flower crown for henna on my feet. Meanwhile, the shirt AND the dress sell out! WHY?? As I'm panicking my mom starts scrolling through the pages of Amazon and it happens... the skies open, I hear the angels singing and I find the PERECT outfit!! it screams me! When the guys got there, Dan called me Princess Jasmine for crying outloud!

House Party Appreciation Post

House parties are always a complicated thing. You never want to be too dressy like you're going to a concert... BUT you don't want to be too casual like you're watching movies in your basement on a rainy Saturday. So you have to find that balance. I think you can easily get away with a tshirt and jeans, but it's all about what you pair with it par example...

Avengers shirt: Macys

This is MY Resolution

Welp the Resolution tour is over. It was easily the best tour I've ever been to.... the best 6 days of my life. If you didn't go to a show, you really missed out
Sooo this leg of our adventure started on the 13th in "Africa" (don't ask). Being that it was the day before Valentine's Day I figured I'd get a little girly. Bring out the pink!! Of course me being me I couldn't just wear a pink skirt with a nice sparkly tank... No.... I had to pair it with my trusty faux leather jacket and some new studded boots which are HEAVEN!!!
(the crew and Hello Highway)
Jacket: Target
Top: Kmart believe it or not
Skirt: Charlotte Russe
The next day was Valentine's Day. There was no show that night... well not that tour. We spent the night in NYC at the Ready Set concert. I kept it pretty simple but effective with my Kiss Me shirt a borrowed pair of black sparkly pants (thanks Mommy) and a jacket.

Next up was Allentown. Keeping witht the Vday theme I went with a sheer gray top with red pants and of course, my jacket and boots.
( David and Dan of Action Item)

Last but not least... the last day of tour Asbury Park NEW JERSEY!! the boys' home show!! I'm stoked that I got to wear my new favorite label Tandem. Created by the Shami twins! You'll probably see me in a lot of their stuff. Annnnd I got a new faux leather jacket and it's STUDDED!!! yesssssss

Bonjour loves!!

Name: Amber
Age: 22
Favorite bands/ musicians: Action Item, Jonas Brothers, Paramore, Demi Lovato, Ed Sheeran, Adele, just about anything... music is my life!!
My style: That depends on the day. I'm really into mixing different style elements like lace and leather. I'm quick to pair a tutu with some boots. I'm really influenced by New York. I love pretty, flowy dresses and flower crowns but at the same time I love studs and ripped jeans. I think that Indian and Middle Eastern clothes are absolutely gorgeous. So yeah... like I said it depends on the day and what mood I'm in.
Style Inspiration: Demi Lovato. Everything she wears is flawless. She's so effortlessly gorgeous. And.... Mark Shami... if you tell him I said that, I'll lie. He and Kelly are just exude this natural coolness.
Go to pieces: Boots, bracelets, rings, hats/ hair accessories

Introducing Me... well us

Hi! I figured I'd take a moment to introduce our page and tell you all what we're all about. We are Amber and Corrine. We are two friends who met through our mutual love for the band Action Item. We go to a lot of their concerts together and figured why not start a blog devoted to concert style??? Why not incorporate two things we love?? Hope you enjoy
